Mentor Coach Monday

When I first heard about ANY (America Needs You) Illinois last year, my first thought was “Where was this back in my college days? This would have changed my life for the better!” My next thought was, “How can I help?”

I volunteered several Saturdays and loved it so much, I couldn’t wait to apply to be a Mentor Coach. This fall I got matched an amazing Fellow! She inspires me every time we talk. I’ve met so many great Fellows, awesome Mentor Coaches, and amazing ANY team members and inspiring Associate Board Members. But most importantly, I feel like in my own small way, I am contributing to the next generation of leaders.

(ANY is a non-profit, first generation college mentoring program with groups in New York, New Jersey, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Silicon Valley. Students are selected for a robust 2 year program, matched with an individual mentor coach like me, receive a $2000 stipend, and attend 20 Saturday session on development each year.)
