Casper Mattress St. Louis Galleria

There is a lot of buzz today surrounding mattress retailer Casper and their IPO. I cannot comment on their financials, but from a pure four-wall appearance and branding standpoint, I think their design is perfect for today. It is light, clean, and most importantly easy to build, branded all over the place, easy to disassemble or close down, fun and eye-catching. For all the talk about their potential, from a store design perspective, they are spot-on for today. With all of the vacancies in regional malls, here is a great way to easily put some test stores out there and see how they succeed. When I walked through this version, in St. Louis Galleria, I first thought it might be a Pop-Up, which could also be a good strategy for them. There are a ton of new mattress people out there now, but to me Casper has a solid brand statement that would resonate with young buyers and mall developers. After all, who wouldn’t want to test drive one of these for a nap on your next mall walkthrough?
